Project Overview

For one of India’s premier institutions, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), our studio was commissioned to craft an unforgettable stage for their flagship Cultural Fest. The brief was clear—create a dynamic, energetic, and youth-driven stage that could host a variety of performances including music, dance, speeches, and celebrity acts.

Executed by JB & KM Structural Consultants and Designers, the final outcome was a stunning polygonal composition with full LED integration, geometric rhythm, and monumental scale. The design served as a powerful symbol of youth, creativity, and institutional pride.

Design Highlights
  • Polygonal Geometry: The central façade draws inspiration from origami folds and crystalline forms, offering a futuristic, energetic identity.
  • Immersive LED Architecture: Each angular face is embedded with LED visuals that sync with live music, DJ beats, and performances, enhancing audience engagement.
  • Multi-Access Stair Design: A grand central staircase is flanked by dual entries, supporting both dramatic solo entries and group processionals.
  • Layered Truss System: The overhead truss structure not only supports lighting and audio but also frames the visual identity with sweeping motion.
  • Day to Night Transformation: From clean matte finishes by day to vibrant, illuminated glamour by night, the stage evolves in real time with the mood of the fest.
